Putting Impact into Practice – Developing your Theory of Change
Wednesday 26th April, 11am – 2pm
Empire Fighting Chance, The Mill, Lower Ashley Road, Bristol
How do you know that what you do will lead to the change you want to see?
Understanding your impact can help you to deliver on your mission, fulfil your potential and ensure you have the greatest possible impact on young people within your area. Developing your Theory of Change is one way you can map out how ‘what you do’ leads to the change you want to see.
This 3-hour workshop will provide an introduction to impact practice (how to plan, measure, assess and learn from your impact) and an overview of the tools and resources available to help you embed good Impact Practice within your organisation. The session will then introduce Theory of Change and enable you to draft a Theory of Change for your own group. This will help you clarify your strategy and put key actions in place to measure your impact.
By the end of the workshop, you will have:
• A better understanding of what good impact practice is and why it’s important
• Improved knowledge of where to go and the next steps to develop your impact measurement skills
• A better understanding of what Theory of Change is and why it’s important
• Begun to develop a draft Theory of Change for your group
• Improved knowledge of where to go and the next steps to develop your Theory of Change
Light refreshments will be provided.
It would be preferable for 2 people from each member organisation to attend.
Attendees for this workshop should come with a basic understanding of impact practice – check out the ‘Discover’ section on Sported’s online Learner Journey for information, or join our webinar on Thursday 20th April (click here to register for this webinar).
