Fundraising Manager – London

Sported is a membership organisation which supports community and voluntary sector organisations in the UK who use sport for the development of young people.
We recognise that many of the organisations that are great at delivering sport to young people would benefit from support on the business side of their activity, which we provide to them to ensure that they are operating to their maximum potential. We focus on organisations that use sport for the development of young people rather than those who play sport “for sport’s sake”, and invite them to become members of sported. so they can benefit from the services we offer.
As we approach our 10th anniversary in 2018, Sported is entering an exciting new phase with a number of new high profile partnerships and projects in development along with ambitious plans for the celebration of our 10th birthday in 2018.
To coincide with this period, we are looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager to take the lead in 2 key areas of our fundraising work, Major Donors and Trusts and Foundations, as we seek to continue the excellent growth in income generation of the past 5 years. Working with Sported’s executive team and hugely connected and respected Board of Trustees, you will be expected to lead or support conversations with Major Donors, identify and apply to relevant major trusts and foundations and ensure that the future pipeline continues to look strong.

The Partnerships Manager will be central to this new era through developing, leading and stewarding our brand new lead partner relationship in a hugely exciting 4 year, nationwide collaboration.
Using your considerable skills and experience in managing corporate/charity partnerships, you will be able to direct activities and build relationships that create the best possible outcomes for our partner, Sported and our members.
In addition, some experience of corporate volunteering and an understanding of the positive role sport can play in the lives of disadvantaged communities would be beneficial but not essential.
