Carl has been involved in sport for development for over three years, starting off at international level working for the Commonwealth Secretariat.
Having coordinated projects at a local, national and international level he has experience in working on policies to help support the use of sport as a tool for development and peace as well as supporting delivery programmes working within the local community.
Carl is passionate about youth development and has worked with the Safer London Foundation and the British Youth Council as an ambassador and trustee, working towards bettering the lives of young people through building links with decision makers.
He is currently the Chair of the Spirit of 2012 Youth Panel. The Spirit of 2012 Trust is an independent trust, established with a £47m endowment from the Big Lottery Fund that funds projects that empower people to get out, be involved and feel better. The Youth Panel act as champions of the work Spirit does and supports them in funding projects in sports, arts, culture, volunteering and social action.
Carl graduated from University in 2014 with a BA Honours Degree in International Relations and Politics and is a keen gym goer and occasional footballer
