Hamid Vaghefian

London Regional Manager

Hamid has been involved in the youth and education sector for over 7 years. With a degree in Law and Criminology, Hamid moved into the voluntary sector and has managed a variety of projects working with at risk and disadvantaged young people across London.

 

Hamid has previously worked for the Prison Advice and Care Trust supporting young people and families of prisoners in London. Working for the national charity Catch22, Hamid managed projects on a local scale in Southwark and Lambeth working with young people at risk of offending. These included two Youth Inclusion Programmes, a Youth Action programme in collaboration with the Metropolitan Police, a Community Cohesion project and a Family Learning programme.

 

More recently, Hamid has managed and developed the curriculum for a large national programme funded by the Department for Education working with young people at risk of exclusion from school across five regions nationally. Developing strategic relationships with partners, schools and local authorities, he has developed a strong network across London and beyond.
