Abbie joined Sported in January 2021, previously working in the arts and events industry. Working on marketing campaigns and digital communications for everything from cabaret, pantomime and comedy, she has a few stories to tell about backstage shenanigans!
With a degree in Sociology, Abbie has always been passionate about reducing barriers to young people accessing extra curricular activity, knowing its importance in the long term.
Abbie started worked in a marketing capacity for regional arts venues in Kent before moving to London where she worked on social media and marketing activity for large scale events and theatre productions. She also volunteered for small charities and non-for-profit organisations, advising on social media and digital marketing.
Abbie will be looking after our social channels and communicating with our members and volunteers, ensuring that they hear about all of Sported’s services. She’s excited to learn more about the grassroots sports industry (and the sports industry as a whole!) and communicate with Sported’s amazing groups and volunteers.
