Sported has now had a Volunteer Consultant Trustee for the last three years. This has been a hugely successful addition to the Board. Our current Volunteer Consultant Trustee is due to retire – and we will appoint a new Trustee to support and challenge the charity’s work.

We are seeking a Trustee with strong links to our network who currently supports a network member as a Sported volunteer. You will join our passionate Board and share responsibility for the strategic direction, financial governance and community representation of the charity. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and influence our work and how we fulfil our objectives and strategy.

This person will contribute to the Board on the needs of our network of groups and be there to inject insights on how volunteer consultants work with projects.

At Sported we are supported by over 200 volunteer consultants with a range of skills and experience. Our volunteers are dynamic and talented individuals with an enthusiasm and passion for supporting groups in our network.

The Board recognises the key role that volunteer consultants play in the success of Sported. We benefit hugely from having a trustee with knowledge, understanding and direct experience of this aspect of our work – and volunteering in general.
