What will Sportworks tell me?
Sportworks will measure the impact that your project is having across seven different social policy areas including:
- Youth offending and anti-social behaviour
- Physical fitness and obesity
- Psychological health and wellbeing
- Misuse of drugs and alcohol
- Educational performance
- Attendance and behaviour at school
- Young people not in education, employment and training
The tool will calculate the financial savings to society as a result of your work.
It will also tell you how to adjust your project to generate maximum impact.
Why should I use it?
Being able to demonstrate the impact of your work is really valuable to your organisation. Not only will it give you a better understanding of your work and how you are delivering against your mission, but it will also help you to make a case for support and prove you are worthy of investment.
“We know we are having a positive impact on these kids’ lives, but Sportworks provides a really good way of evidencing it.” Tim Holtam, Brighton City Table Tennis Club
Sportworks users have already used their results to secure funding or improve the impact they are having in their communities.

How does it work?
From the information you provide about the young people you’re working with and the activities you’re delivering, Sportworks will calculate the impact your work is having in reducing the risk of those young people experiencing negative outcomes, and the cost you are saving to society by doing so.
You can filter your results by project, region and time period, and look at how your work is impacting on each of the social policy areas measured in the tool.
How can I access Sportworks?
Sportworks can be accessed through two data collection systems – the Light Tool and Views.
The Light Tool is specifically designed for organisations who are new to monitoring.
Views is a well-established online project management and impact reporting platform, for those who are interested in more in-depth measurement.
Find out which system is best for you here: Views or Light Tool?
How much does it cost?
As a member of Sported, the Light Tool is free to use.
The cost of a Views licence is dependent on your annual turnover and the Views package you choose. More information can be seen on the Views website. As a Sported member, you are entitled to 20% off your first annual Views licence.
If you are already a Views user, you can add the Sportworks application for free.
How can I create an account?
To register for Sportworks via the Light Tool, please complete this registration form.
To register for Sportworks via Views, please complete this registration form.
It will take 3 working days to process your Light Tool registration, and then you will receive a confirmation email with your login details.
