Launching the Sported Hub

By Sported |  23rd July 2021

Last month, we launched the Sported Hub, our brand new website for Sported groups and volunteers. Housing all of our resources, events, news and support in one place, we want to ensure that the grassroots sports groups in our network can easily access the support and benefits they receive for free as Sported members.

Using the Sported Capacity Tool Model as a guide, those in the Sported network can find support and resources to improve areas and functions of their group, whether it’s looking at their governance and committee, developing a marketing and PR strategy, or exploring new ways to generate income, the Sported Hub can help.

The Hub also has a dedicated area for our Sported volunteers where they can find tools and templates to help guide them when supporting a group. Volunteers can also join discussion groups where they can ask for support and advice from our team and other volunteers.

We’ve already had some great feedback from those who are using the new website:

“Fast and easy to navigate. Great site overall”

“The site is easy to navigate around”

Some of the new features include:

Resource Library

Our network can easily search through Sported resources including how-to-guides, webinar recordings, templates, and videos covering a range of topics, corresponding to the Sported Capacity Measurement Model.

The resources include an essentials guide to business planning, marketing campaign templates and top tips when writing funding applications.

Events

Our exclusive events and webinars can be easily booked through the website. From our ‘Meet The Funder’ events, the popular ‘Youth Mental Health First Aid Awareness workshops, or member and volunteer networking events, they are a great source of information and hosted by either our Sported team, volunteers, or in collaboration with partners and external organisations.

Volunteer support

Groups in our network can quickly request support and find out how Sported volunteers can support them to reach their goals. Groups can request short term support, for example reviewing a funding application, to longer term support like developing a long-term strategic plan.

Our volunteers are a brilliant source of information and support groups up and down the country. Find out more about some of our Sported volunteers.

…and much more!

Putting our network at the heart of what we do, the Sported Hub makes it easy for grassroots groups across the UK to access the support they need to increase their stability and resilience, so they can continue to help young people in their local community.
