Nissan Possibilities Project

Sported is delighted to have been chosen as one of the two charity partners for Nissan GB’s Nissan Possibilities Project, the company’s new CSR initiative to create more opportunities for
under-represented communities.

Nissan GB will be working with selected groups within the Sported network of 2,900 community clubs to help create better participation opportunities for young people with disabilities. Whilst in partnership with the Richard Whitehead Foundation, Sported groups are supporting three young people’s journeys, after receiving funding for the provision of running prosthetics. The groups are ensuring participants can have full access to facilities and qualified coaching for disability running

As part of the Possibilities Project Nissan are providing all Sported groups the opportunity to access and complete a disability inclusion self-assessment tool. This allows groups to assess where they are in terms of disability inclusion and highlights areas of strengths and weakness.

Please remember to answer the questions as honestly as possible. This is not a test, it’s designed to be an honest assessment of where you are now to help you to understand your areas of strength and also areas of growth.

Nissan Possibilities Project - Interactive Map

To help support members working on, or interested in, disability inclusion, we’ve produced an interactive map with the name and location of other organisations using this tool to reflect on their disability inclusion. Please contact your local Sported contact or Network Services (membership@sported.org.uk) if you’re interested in connecting with any of these groups on the topic of disability inclusion. Please indicate below if you are happy for your group to appear on the interactive map. Neither your self-assessment score or any personal details will be on the map. It will only have your group's name and location. For more information on how Sported uses your data, please see our privacy policy: Sported Privacy Policy
