Onyinye comes to Sported bringing a wealth of knowledge in sport development, group support and community engagement from the higher education sector.  Growing up in London, Onyinye always had a passion for sport in her childhood, and it was that renewed passion during her studies at university that led her to pursue a career in the sector.

 After graduation, Onyinye joined her Students’ Union as a Sport Development coordinator, responsible for developing and delivering programmes and services to student-led sport groups as well as grow participation across programmes.  She has also worked in wider student opportunities, managing teams to deliver initiatives across sport, student-led societies and media, community engagement projects, training and development and volunteer management and support.

 Joining Sported brings a chance for Onyinye to support young people to overcome disadvantages and disenfranchisement caused by wider circumstances through the medium of sport which she holds dear; and in her role as London Regional Manager, she is excited to do just that in her home city.  In her spare time, she enjoys playing multiple sports including football and badminton, is a follower of most sports and whips up a storm in the kitchen.
