Creating accessible content

Accessibility is about opening doors, and keeping them open, giving everyone the ability to participate in the world around them. By building in flexibility your content can accommodate the needs and preferences of everyone who would like to access it. The more open and accessible we make our online content, the better we can connect with our participants.

An important starting point is our inclusive language webinar. Inclusive language is ensuring the words and phrases you use avoid biases, slang, and expressions that discriminate against groups of people based on race, gender, socioeconomic status, and ability.

Take a look at this guidance on creating accessible content, covering digital and social media platforms as well as a general look at best practice.
