Crowdfunder is the UK’s leading crowdfunding platform where individuals can take their ideas forward and make them a reality with help from the crowd. Whether you are a sports club, community group, social enterprise, charity or an individual with a fantastic idea then Crowdfunder can help you raise the funds needed for your project.

Want to know how to plan and make the most of your Crowdfunder campaign?

  • Sported has Crowdfunder trained volunteers – access them by requesting Light Touch support
  • They have an Online Learning platform
  • They run regular webinars that you can book on to here. Past webinars available on their YouTube channel
  • Check out Crowdfunder’s YouTube channel with lots of great guidance and examples of successful groups – including Sported members 3 Pillars and LiveWell North East
  • There are a number of matchfunding opportunities across the UK that you may be able to access. Find out more here
  • But most importantly, Crowdfunder are people! You can talk to someone there if you’d like to know more and get some guidance.

If your organisation has experienced short term financial difficulty or needs to adapt how it operates, due to the pandemic follow the link below to start setting up a crowdfunding campaign and apply for up to £10,000 match funding today.

There are regular webinars to help support groups in accessing this matchfunding. Find out when and book on here.

British Cycling: Places to Ride fund – British Cycling’s Places to Ride programme is funding the development of new or the improvement of existing cycling facilities and activities in communities across England. 

Get up to £15,000 with the fund and you need a crowdfunding project to apply for funding. Start or continue adding your project and, if eligible, you’ll be prompted to apply.

SportEngland has also announced an additional £5million for the fund in September 2021.

 Sport NI and Crowdfunder have teamed up to make £400,000 of National Lottery Funding available to support the sports sector through the coronavirus pandemic and help your club and community ‘Build Back Better’. If your sports club or community organisation has been affected by the Coronavirus pandemic and has a small to medium sports project in mind, this session will help you start your crowdfunding journey. You can get up to £5,000 match funding.

No current opportunites

Sport Wales has partnered with Crowdfunder to support community clubs and activities to raise money for facility improvements. 

The scheme is for not-for-profit clubs and community groups looking to raise money for ‘off-field’ improvements. For example changing rooms, improved kitchen facilities to gain more income, bike racks and storage, boilers and much more, with SportWales matchfunding up to £15,000.
