Dan Hopewell – Director of Knowledge and Innovation at London Region Social Prescribing presented these four regional webinars to upskill Sported members’ knowledge about social prescribing.
Aims of the workshops
To enable those working in sports to better understand social prescribing and sports organisation’s roles and contributions to health and to better understand the perspectives of both sectors;
To explore the possible benefits which could come from closer working and identify what differences could be made to people’s health outcomes by doing so;
To understand the barriers and enablers to greater collaboration between the sectors
To agree what further work would be helpful to do together to progress the ideas that come out of the workshop.
