2025 Sported Awards' Nominations Now Open

This year will see us host the inaugural Sported Awards, highlighting the impact of groups and organisations with an evening of recognition and celebration. There are eight awards that groups can nominate in, recognising the amazing work that goes on within the Sported network and celebrating the difference being made in communities across the UK.

The awards are all about celebrating our groups and clubs, the unsung heroes of grassroots sport. As dedicated volunteers and community leaders, they work tirelessly to transform lives, open doors, and create brighter futures through the power of sport.

Their work is nothing short of game-changing, and we believe it’s time to shine a spotlight on their incredible impact.

The eight awards for 2025 are:

  • Unsung Hero of the Year
  • Commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
  • Commitment to Sustainability
  • Campaign or Initiative of the Year
  • Outstanding Collaboration & Partnerships Award
  • Contribution to Enhance Community Safety Award
  • Sported Project of the Year
  • Best Place to Volunteer

Sported Awards Ceremony Wednesday 11 June

The 2025 award winners will be announced at a ceremony on Wednesday 11 June in London, with each winner receiving their award and having their expenses covered to attend the ceremony.

The event will take place at the headquarters of our partners, Barclays, in London’s Docklands, providing a stunning backdrop to showcase the achievements of the Sported network and the impact that groups are having in their local communities.

The ceremony will also see us honouring and celebrating the contribution of Sported volunteers who give their time and expertise to assist organisations on a daily basis.
