We design and deliver training and educational resources which upskill grassroots sport clubs and grow their reach
Growing the reach of grassroots sports clubs
increasing participation and changing culture to make sport more accessible.
We know that a number of groups are under-represented in sport, for a variety of reasons. Those groups include:
Women and girls
LSEG
People with disabilities
LGBTQ+
Ethnically Diverse Groups
We are experienced in running programmes which help clubs and groups to research and reach new and diverse audiences, to put measures in place to address their barriers to participation, and to increase access for under-represented groups. Our programmes focus on cultural change within organisations, which will result in a legacy or increased participation, not just a short-term uplift in numbers.
Upskilling grassroots clubs
to address societal issues such as mental health, community safety and employability
We also know that sports club environments, with the safe spaces and positive roles models they offer, are places where wider social issues are brought and critically, can be addressed.
Making the most of this opportunity, Sported has delivered a number of training packages which upskill groups leaders, for example:
A package of mental wellbeing support including e-resources, workshops and free TAMHI Mental Wealth Games licences.
A programme analysing and addressing lack of digital literacy
We can deliver these programmes virtually or in person, locally or at scale.
