Clare joined Sported in 2022 following 20+ years working in football development. Her previous roles included leading on women and girls development in Berkshire, Surrey, Dorset and Sussex, with the addition of leading the disabilty programme in Sussex.

Building on her experience at a County FA level Clare went on to play a lead role, employed by the Youth Sport Trust in the implementation of the Barclays’ Girls’ Football in Schools programme across England.

As well as working in football Clare has also coached at clubs including on the Chelsea FC Girls Talent programme, and has volunteered on a number of league committees in various roles as chairperson, secretary, fixtures and safeguarding.

In her spare time she loves music playing the piano and flute in bands and orchestras!
