INCLUSION PROJECTS LEAD

Fiona works in Sported’s Scotland Team and is coordinating the Inclusion project. The project is focussed on increasing the capacity of sports organisations in and around Dundee to improve inclusivity, in particular people with disabilities. Fiona believes in the power of sport to create positive change and is passionate about ensuring sport is a welcoming place for all.

Fiona completed an MA in International Relations at the University of St Andrews and graduated with a Master’s in Development Practice from Emory University in 2020. Throughout her studies she focussed on issues of gender justice and human rights. She has worked in several international and sports development organisations including CARE International, ChildFund International, The Somali-American Community Centre, and Atlanta Youth Rugby.

In her spare time, Fiona enjoys being as active as possible. She is an avid rugby player and currently plays for Corstorphine RFC in Edinburgh and coaches the women’s team at the University of St Andrews. When not playing rugby, Fiona loves to travel and visit friends in different corners of the world, spend time at her local CrossFit gym, play some badminton, hike around Scotland and even going wild swimming – when it’s not too cold!
