Gil has been involved in leisure and sports development for almost 20 years in different areas across the UK; including Havant, Portsmouth, Dundee, Birmingham and London.

Previously employed through a National Governing Body, Gil developed and managed programmes working with local clubs, schools, FE Colleges and Universities to increase participation and grow the game.

Gil’s career highlight so far was working at London 2012 for 2 weeks.

With experience in several sporting environments Gil has a proven track record of developing highly successful projects working in partnership with local stakeholders, including the School Games.

More recently Gil worked for a local charity delivering Sport for Development  where she enjoyed developing and delivering sustainable programmes that had a positive impact on the local community especially with the more hard to reach groups.  Gil is passionate about the power sport can have to really make a difference to young people’s lives and is looking forward to being an integral part of the Sport for Development Sector in the South East.
