Jeff serves as the Governance lead and Safeguarding lead on the Sported board.

He is General Counsel, Company Secretary and Head of ESG at Red Gate Software Ltd and has compliance and governance experience at board level.  

He has a background in data, technology and entrepreneurial projects, lending a blend of legal and commercial experience to the charity.

Jeff has over 25 years of commercial experience – in guiding startups to and through IPO, growth companies and listed companies – including being part of 2 tech-‘unicorns’ –  Just Eat & Satispay.

He has a unique combination of legal expertise; a degree in genetics, and an MBA – with deep disruptor tech; marketplace & clean-tech expertise. 

He was a Visiting Fellow at ZINC VC in 2023 – supporting entrepreneurship activity within Zinc VC cohorts – mentoring clean-tech and financial resilience entrepreneurs. 

Jeff has a strong passion for making a difference in the community and understands the power that sport has to improve lives.
