
Jill Douglas

Jill Douglas is a respected and experienced sports broadcaster and journalist who regularly appears on BBC and ITV.
Originally from the Scottish Borders where she began her career as a print news journalist before moving into television, she is best known for her work in rugby and cycling, becoming the UK’s first female rugby presenter when she fronted Rugby Special.
Jill has covered a variety of major events including six Olympic Games, six Commonwealth Games, five Rugby World Cups, Lions Tours and Six Nations Championships.
Born in Hawick and a lifelong fan of the town’s rugby club, she was a founding trustee of the charity, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation – set up in honour of her close friend Doddie Weir – and served as CEO for six years, helping to establish it as one of the leading MND research charities and raising more than £20 million.
She now lives in Cheltenham with her husband Carl Hogg and their two children where she is able to indulge her love of rugby at Kingsholm and her appreciation of horse racing at the famous Prestbury course.
