Prior to joining the team at Sported, she worked at a County Sports Partnership, Suffolk Sport. Here she managed a team covering children and young people, school sport, workforce and volunteering, together with specific national work programmes that supported these areas, such as Sportivate, satellite clubs and coaching.

Her passion for Sport for Development has been reinforced from her time spent volunteering for Ipswich Basketball Club, which she cites as one of her biggest pride and joys. In her 12 years coaching, safeguarding and Chairing at the club, she has seen hundreds of young people thrive in the sport, grow in confidence and develop leadership skills – bringing her immense personal satisfaction.

Now based in Bristol, Kathryn brings this wealth of professional and personal experience to helping Sported’s network in the south of England to strengthen their communities.
