Nissan Possibilities Project
As part of Nissan’s Possibilities Project which to create more opportunities for people from Under Represented Groups, Nissan have teamed up with Sported to create more sporting opportunities for young disabled people
Young Disabled People have significantly less opportunities to participate in sport despite the well-known physical and mental health benefits… Sported have teamed up with Nissan to change this.
Over the past three years Sported has worked closely with Nissan to deliver several disability inclusion programmes which have gone from strength to strength each year. Most notably, our Tyne & Wear Project which focused on supporting 7 community sport groups (located in Sunderland and Tyne & Wear) to develop their confidence and knowledge around disability inclusion.
The Possibilities Project encompassed a number of different elements including bespoke training, volunteer support, funding, 1-1 consultation with Sported’s Disability Lead and networking opportunities.
