Rose Chilton

Rose works in Sported’s Insight and Strategy team, based in London. Rose holds overall responsibility for Sported’s Capacity Measurement Tool; a quantitative survey used as a diagnostic tool for community sports organisations. The tool is primarily used to help groups within our network identify needs. In addition, a comparison of surveys pre and post support is used to demonstrate the impact of Sported’s work.

Rose uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to generate insight from our network, to demonstrate the needs of community groups and how vitally important they are. In additionRose ensures best practice in the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of externally funded projects.

Rose joined Sported in February 2017, after spending almost four years working in Monitoring and Evaluation in the international development sector, based in Tanzania. This included working for the Government of Tanzania, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Rose has a strong academic background in quantitative research methods, having obtained a BSc in Economics and International Development from the University of Bath, and an MSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Nottingham.

Rose strongly believes in sport as a tool for positive change, and particularly enjoys mixed-gender team sports, including ultimate frisbee, tag rugby and tennis.
