Zara Rawlinson

RACE EQUITY LEAD

Zara joined the team in March 2024 as the Race Equity Lead bringing many years professional experience championing inclusion, belonging and equality for all, especially young people.

Zara has used her lived experiences as a survivor of racism to create programmes that empower and support systemic change through education, raising awareness and implementing antiracist and inclusive policies and practices in a variety of organisations.

She has experience delivering workshops and trainings, creating resources and has supported organisations and young people to understand how to embed racial equity and antiracism in their personal and professional lives. She has worked in both the charity and corporate sector; supported in education settings directly working with young people and is passionate about ensuring that youth voice underpins the work that she undertakes.

Zara combines her knowledge of anti-racism with her background in wellbeing to ensure that her approach is person-centred, trauma informed and is aware of the challenges racism brings and strives for real, equitable change for all.
