Sophie spent 20 years working within the private sector and travelling the world working with businesses to improve their standards and capacity. She also volunteered within the Asia Pacific area introducing netball to China!

Sophie came back to the UK and decided to study for a Sport Science and Business Studies degree which combined her two areas of expertise and gave her the qualification to start working within the sports sector. In her 16 years of working in the sports sector Sophie has lead roles in netball and cycling plus regional and national roles with Sport England supporting the strategic development of volunteers and the workforce.

Sophie is passionate about helping make a difference to her community and spends time volunteering with a few local groups. Sophie sees the real value of capacity building with Sported members in order to help them make a true change to their communities by engaging the next generation of young people.
