Katherine joined Sported in the summer of 2024 and comes from a services background. She started her first full time career by joining the Army as a physical training instructor before swapping uniforms to  join Hampshire Police where she stayed for the next 30 years. 

Continuing a passion for sport by becoming involved in police sport at all levels, she remains a member of the Police Sport UK Management Committee with 12 years on the European Police Sport Technical Commission with responsibility for organising European Championships in Triathlon and Cycling. 

During her police career, she used sport to divert young people away from crime.

After retiring from the Police, Katherine devised a scheme called 1TeamActive which is a wellbeing programme aimed at police staff who are less than active and/or struggling with Mental Health Challenges – delivered across the country with funding from Sport England and the National Lottery.

She tries and keep fit, walking her dog.
