Martin has worked mainly in media entertainment and telecoms roles for the last 35 years.

He started in the Finance area but also led companies as CEO.

Martin has served as a non-executive director on public company boards, public sector and not-for-profits including serving as Audit Committee Chair for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games for seven years. 

Martin joined Sported as a Trustee because he believes that everyone should be able to enjoy the benefits that participating in sport and physical activity can bring.

He serves as Chair of the charity’s Finance and Audit Committee.

“For me personally sport has been a cornerstone in my life , it has helped me be healthy and given me joy,” he said.

“I am proud to help the team at Sported bring the same benefits to as many people as possible”.
