Sported is delighted to have been chosen as one of the two charity partners for Nissan GB’s Nissan Possibilities Project, the company’s new CSR initiative to create more opportunities for
under-represented communities.
Nissan GB will be working with selected groups within the Sported network of 2,900 community clubs to help create better participation opportunities for young people with disabilities. Whilst in partnership with the Richard Whitehead Foundation, Sported groups are supporting three young people’s journeys, after receiving funding for the provision of running prosthetics. The groups are ensuring participants can have full access to facilities and qualified coaching for disability running
As part of the Possibilities Project Nissan are providing all Sported groups the opportunity to access and complete a disability inclusion self-assessment tool. This allows groups to assess where they are in terms of disability inclusion and highlights areas of strengths and weakness.
